Dr. Jayakumar R. Menon is a senior laryngologist and ENT surgeon with a distinguished career of over 38 years in the field of otorhinolaryngology, specializing in conditions affecting the voice, airway, and swallowing. He holds medical qualifications including MBBS, MS, DLO, DNB (ENT), and FRCS, reflecting advanced surgical expertise and comprehensive training in head and neck surgery. Dr. Menon trained in laryngology in Dublin, Ireland, and has been an active contributor to clinical practice, education, and academic work in laryngology for decades.

As Head of the Laryngology Department, Dr. Menon leads care for patients with complex voice and airway disorders, swallowing dysfunctions, and related conditions. His clinical focus includes evaluation and management of voice disorders, professional voice care, swallowing difficulties, thyroid and salivary gland surgery, and chronic cough, using both diagnostic and therapeutic approaches tailored to individual needs.

Dr. Menon has played a central role in professional leadership and education within the specialty. He was the founder, vice president, and past president of the Association of Phonosurgeons of India (APSI), a key professional body dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of voice disorders and phonosurgery in the country.
