Introduction

Dr. C. John Panicker is one of the best ENT surgeons in Trivandrum, Kerala, with over 48 years of dedicated clinical practice. Known for his social commitment and excellence in otolaryngology and head & neck surgery, he has treated and cured over one million patients during his long and distinguished career.

He began his medical service with the Kerala State Health Services in 1979, serving in remote, tribal, and underserved regions of the state, where he played a vital role in delivering primary and ENT care to underprivileged communities. He later pioneered the introduction of advanced ENT services in government hospitals across Adoor, Peroorkada, and Thiruvananthapuram at a time when such care was limited to medical colleges.

In 1997, Dr. Panicker founded Santhwana ENT Hospital in Trivandrum, Kerala’s first dedicated ENT specialty hospital, making advanced ear, nose, throat, head, and neck care accessible and affordable. A committed mentor and educator, he has trained numerous ENT specialists, organized landmark surgical workshops, and continues to contribute to medical education as an Honorary Consultant at SCTIMST, Government of India.

His lifelong contributions have been recognized with several prestigious honors, including the Best Doctor Award by the Government of Kerala and Distinguished Service Awards from national and international medical associations.
